Our Mission

Our primary focus is the rescue of special needs animals.

A majority of our adoptable animals are seniors, medical cases, and those with social or behavioral issues. We also provide hospice care to terminally ill animals who have been relinquished to shelters or given up by their owners.

Tyson’s Chance rescues all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. We love to heal the sick, rehabilitate the misunderstood, and provide safe haven for those in their golden years.

Do you have a soft spot for the ‘difficult’ dogs? Our most vulnerable residents—those with behavioral quirks or medical needs—need your help the most. Whether it’s walking a shy pup, helping a reactive dog learn leash manners, or providing a quiet, safe space, your time helps them heal. You won’t just be walking a dog; you’ll be saving a life. Volunteer now!

Open your heart to a dog who needs it most. Adopting a shelter dog with health or behavior challenges requires patience and consistency, but the journey from cautious to confident is one of the most fulfilling experiences a person can have.
